About
Already established as the premier Marine Preservation and Structural Services company in the United States, IMIA has evolved to provide shipbuilders, ship repairers and our commercial customers with a Multi-Disciplined Marine Contractor for Turnkey Services. These services provide assurance to our customers that critical work-streams will be executed in a coordinated way by a single trusted provider. IMIA has been successful in establishing long-term relationships with shipyards and ship owners through responsive service, strong business ethics and a commitment to delivering the best product. With over 850 employees, we are strategically located with workforces to provide our services worldwide. Currently, we have equipment and labor positioned in several locations along the Gulf of Mexico, East and West U.S. Coasts, and Hawaii.
Jonathan Thompson, COO of IMIA, heads up this industry-leading company to offer shipyards a Multi-Disciplined Marine Contractor for scaffolding & containment, structural repair, and preservation services. “The span of our capabilities will allow IMIA to partner with our shipyard customers, to offer a vertically integrated and turnkey solution for the highly specialized preservation and related services we can now offer as a Multi-Disciplined Marine Contractor. This will take the risk, burden and cost of the cyclical demand for preservation and related services from the shipyard and providing them with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for multi-disciplined contractor services of their shipbuilding and ship repair businesses.”
